Our focus on operations yields results Unusually adverse weather in our hubs in June and July posed a challenging start to the summer. Year to date however, our operation has improved significantly with 24,000 fewer flight cancellations during the first half of the year than the same period in 2014, despite the comparatively worse weather. In New York alone, we canceled a lower percentage of flights from the three major area airports than our competitors. We also improved our system-wide on-time performance by nearly four points during the same period. |

Movies, TV and entertainment options on even more aircraft
United has one of the largest offerings of free streaming entertainment - with hundreds of television shows and movies, including popular HBO and Showtime content, available directly to travelers' laptops, iOS and Android mobile devices. Last month, we completed the installation of Personal Device Entertainment (PDE) on 120 Wi-Fi-equipped E170, E175 and CRJ700 regional jets. Learn more
Giving travelers more personal power
While providing travelers more access to personal device entertainment, we are also aggressively installing in seat power outlets - so devices can remain charged for their entire flight. Currently close to 300 of United's aircraft offer power ports, with all international aircraft to receive power by 2016. Upon project completion, over 700 aircraft will have in seat power onboard*. Agency tips of the month:
Ticket Status
Did you know you can check the status of a ticket online at our United Travel Agency Information Center? All it takes is four simple steps to retrieve a United ticket status, whether it be flown, not flown, refunded or exchanged. Agencies can also check the form of payment details that were used to purchase the ticket. See how easy it is
Travel advice to share with your customer
Encourage your customers to travel with a copy of their ticket numbers, in addition to their itinerary record locator, particularly for itineraries with codeshares. Airports can sometimes encounter validation issues with Other Airline (OA) segment e-tickets and confirming reservations. When the customer has their ticket number, airports can easily retrieve their OA itinerary and if travel plans change, work with a plating carrier to "push and pull e-ticket control" where needed. now you can check the status of a ticket online at our United Travel Agency Information Center?
