New Latin America and Caribbean markets this winter
This winter, escape to the beach with new nonstop routes to Central America and the Caribbean: Chicago (ORD) - Providenciales/Turks and Caicos (PLS), and Denver (DEN) - Liberia (LIR) and San Jose (SJO), Costa Rica. All routes will operate on weekends between December 18, 2015 and April 30, 2016 using Boeing 737 aircraft
Industry leading green investment: creating alternative fuel from trash
United has invested $30 million in alternative fuels developer Fulcrum BioEnergy, who is leading the way in the conversion of household trash or municipal solid waste (MSW) into renewable jet fuel. Fulcrum's fuel will provide greater than 80% reduction in lifecycle carbon emissions compared to conventional jet fuel. Learn more about of partnership with Fulcrum here. New exclusive partnership with SoHo House and Cowshed products
Starting this month, United will exclusively offer SoHo House's Cowshed skin-care products in newly redesigned amenity kits for premium-cabin customers on long-haul intercontinental flights. Cowshed products will also be available in select premium-cabin lavatories and in many United Club locations worldwide. Learn more
Agency tip of the month: GDS refunds
In the event of certain service disruptions or schedule changes deemed unacceptable to the customer, agencies may have the ability to refund the impacted ticket through ARC, BSP*, of the GDS. Please note that to ensure proper processing and audit of these transactions, United requires the waiver code to be added to the OSI field or endorsement box prior to cancellation of the segments.
