We recently announced that from April 2022, we’ll be operating a new Orlando service between Edinburgh and Orlando.
Commencing international flights from Edinburgh marks an exciting new chapter for Virgin Atlantic, as we move to a new home in Scotland. Although we’re moving our operations from Glasgow, our new base allows us to grow our flight portfolio, offering our Scottish customers more services to more destinations, than ever before. It also means that Virgin Atlantic will not recommence its seasonal flights from Glasgow to Orlando in summer 2022.
Please be assured your customers trip is still going ahead but we’ll be cancelling their Glasgow flights and rebooking them on to our service departing from, and arriving to, Edinburgh Airport. The departure time and date of their flights will remain the same.
Bookings affected by these changes will be updated in your GDS on Saturday 14 Aug 2021.
To limit the impact this change has on your customers journey, Edinburgh Airport will be providing free car parking to any customers travelling on a Virgin Atlantic service to Orlando who have been impacted by this airport change. Further details will be made available shortly.
We are getting in touch with all customers where contact details have been provided, but it would be great if you could get in touch with them yourself to make sure they are aware these flights will be departing from Edinburgh.
Please ensure the latest traveller contact information is available within the booking, so the latest instructions reach the traveller via SMS and email.
Please assure our mutual customers that we’re very grateful for their patience and understanding, recognising this airport switch from Glasgow to Edinburgh may cause some inconvenience to their plans. We hope they’ll be able to continue their trip as planned and look forward to seeing them onboard next year.
If flying from and to Edinburgh doesn’t suit them, our flexibility policy can be found here.
