It continues to be a dynamic time for international travel with ongoing travel restrictions to and from many of the countries we operate to.
Virgin Atlantic is delighted to announce new flying to the Bahamas from London Heathrow this winter. We will launch twice-weekly services from London Heathrow commencing on 20 November and flights will go on sale from 11 August 2021. In addition, from 31 October, we’ll be increasing our services to the much-loved island of Barbados. Flights from Manchester to Barbados will increase from three times a week to five times and from Heathrow, daily flights will increase to 11 times a week. You’ll see these services in your GDS from 11 August 2021.
The UK Government has confirmed updates to the Red, Amber, Green (RAG) country lists based on its risk-based traffic light system for arrivals to England. This includes that from 0400 on Sunday 8 August India will move from the Red list to the Amber list. As a result of the fast-moving travel environment, we continue to make schedule changes which will affect our Flying Programme for the coming weeks.
