News → Lufthansa Group: EMD on a connecting flight when booking tickets for children travelling unaccompanied

Now the booking process for children travelling as an unaccompanied minor (UMNR), Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS will become more flexible. The enhanced use of EMD on connecting flights provides the following: it no longer matters which of the three airlines operates the flight, which flight number (OS/LH/LX) is booked, or which document (OS/257, LH/220, LX/724) is issued with the ticket or EMD.

The new agreement on the use of EMD on connecting flights between Lufthansa and Air Dolomiti also allows reservations for unaccompanied children on all Lufthansa and Air Dolomiti flights and ensures the following: it no longer matters which of the two airlines operates the flight, which flight number (LH/EN) is booked or which document (LH/220, EN/101) the ticket or EMD is issued.
