Dear colleagues and partners!

On the reason for the strike of the South African flight attendants Association (SACCA) airline South South African Airways cancels all SAA own flights on 15 November and 16 November 2019, except as listed below:

SA147, SA067, SA025, SA073, SA210, SA261, SA204, SA265, SA287, SA281, SA235

Flights of other carriers, including SA Express, Mango, SA Airlink and partners under the code-share agreement, as well as flights of partner airlines under Star Alliance (SA 1000 - 1999, SA 2000 – 2999, SA 7000 – 7999 and SA 8000 to 8999) will be operated as scheduled.

The airline is doing everything in its power to minimize the consequences for its passengers.

Passengers with SAA (083) tickets issued before November 13, 2019 inclusive with departure dates of November 15 and 16, 2019 may be offered the following alternatives:

Reissue ticket on another South African Airways flight for departure dates up to 31 October 2020 can without penalty and surcharges on the fare in the original RBD and in the same class of service. If the original RBD is not available, the ticket is reissued in the minimum available RBD in the same class of service.
Change of route, city of departure / arrival is allowed.
Cancel the booking and issue a full refund of the ticket (including fees) on the original form of payment
If possible, reissue air tickets for flights operated by partner airlines under Star Alliance, code-share agreement and Interline partners. The minimum available RBD is applied in the same class of service. Flight dates-15 and 16 November 2019 Use the formats >TGAD-SA (for GDS Amadeus) to check the SA Interline partners
All tickets must be reissued by November 30, 2019.
SAA will not be able to support passengers with special requests (SSR), or with a minor escort service (UMNR) during the strike

Conditions

There is no exception to this instruction
The information text "INVOL RRTE DUE SA STRIKE/DATE", must be specified in the Endorsement Box of the ticket.
This instruction applies only to South African Airways own flights
This instruction does not apply to tickets issued on SA forms (083) for flights operated by Mango, SA Express and Airlink, as well as for tickets issued by other airlines.
Changing the class of service (cabin) is not allowed
Tickets for which passed no-show, cannot be reissued or refunded according to this instruction;
SAA reserves the right to change this policy without notice
