News → S7 Airlines. Married Segments Control (MSC)

Dear colleagues!

Please be informed that from November 15 of 2019 S7 Airlines introduces Married Segments Control (MSC).

When making a reservation in S7 ARDWeb / S7 AIDL (including S7 Smart Ticketing), GDS Amadeus, ADS Sirena-Travel, flight segments may fall under MSC in case of booking:

  • with a stop at the transfer point less than 24 hours
  • on S7 Airlines flights, including Code-Share flights, where the S7 is marketing carrier (flights S74000-4999)

Flight segments falling under the MSC must be issued with a single ticket.

If the transportation containing flight segments that fall under MSC issuing in the separate tickets, it is necessary to create the separate reservations.

When booking the transfer transportation by segments, it is necessary to book flights in a direct sequence starting from the first point of departure. It is prohibited to book segments in the reverse order.

The system automatically controls the possibility of canceling/reissuing one of the married segments.

If as the response to the cancellation/reissuing of one of the married segments the system generates a message:

NOT ALLOWED: MARRIED SEGMENTS 3,2

or

S7 174 Q 01OCT 2 OVBDME REBOOK REJECTED: SEGMENT NOT AVAILABLE

It is necessary to reissue the married segments in the available RBD.

It is forbidden to perform any actions (both before assignment of the PNR locator and after), leading to separation of segments falling under MSC.

In case of cancellation of the Carrier's own flight, Code-Share flight, where S7 is the marketing carrier, as well as in case of change of departure time with failure of docking, after changing the status of segments from HK to UN/TK or UN, the associated segments are disconnected automatically.

For voluntary actions with the ticket, the Carrier can disconnect the associated segments if necessary:

  • Cancel or change one of the related segments, provided that there are no seats available on the unchanged segment or rebooking in the same class of service is not possible (NO SEATS)
  • To issue a ticket for a child under 2 years without providing a separate seat in the cabin of the aircraft only on one of the sections of the transfer carriage, in the previously created PNR of an adult accompanying passenger (ADD INF)
  • To carry out return / renewal of the ticket containing the section of the subsidized transportation (SUB)
