News → TAP Air Portugal (047) - The introduction of Passenger Type Codes (PTC) and the age of the CHILD and the INFANT in the PNR

Dear colleagues and partners,

We inform you about the need to enter the identifier (PTC) CHD/INF and age in the name field for passengers of categories child (from 2 to 12 years) and infant (from 0 to 2 years) when booking tickets TAP Air Portugal (047).

When you enter this information in the PNR, an SSR CHLD and an SSR INFT will be automatically created.

This will allow TAP to correctly identify the passenger and will not result in operational restrictions at check-in and boarding.

Entering text DOB in the name field is not required.

If this information is not entered, the agent will be billed ADM 25.00 EUR

These changes will come into force on September 24, 2019.

Although DOB information entered in GDS other than Amadeus may not be displayed correctly in the TAP system, we recommend that you continue to enter DOB after PTC in the name field.
