Dear colleagues and partners!

We would like to inform you that from now on, in bookings made for adults and children (ADT+CHD together under one booking code), passengers will be automatically assigned seats next to each other.

Regardless of the BRANDED FARE group in economy class, the system will seat passengers together free of charge. In case of any voluntary change of automatically assigned seats, the conditions of the selected BRANDED FARE group will be applied (for example, for the Discount brand, for any seat to which the passenger wants to change the previously assigned seat automatically by the system, a surcharge will be required).

At the moment, automatic assignment of seats is made on the following conditions:

• For individual bookings only (not applicable for group bookings – RBD class G);
• Economy class only;
• Valid for flights operated by TAP Air Portugal (TP001-TP3999);
• Not applicable on code-share flights;
• Valid only for bookings with an adult and a child;
• Valid for bookings with a tap flight ticket (or with a TST mask, if the PNR is made in the GDS Amadeus );
• The system does not change or assign seats previously booked by the passenger or the agent;
• Seats will be reserved in the standard area (excluding the last 4 rows, which are for stretchers, wheelchairs, etc.).);
• First of all, the system will try to seat passengers with children nearby (1ADT+1CHD). If this is not possible, passengers will be seated in close proximity to each other (in the next row or behind each other).

NOTE

Automatic assignment of seats is made shortly after the booking is made, so in the case of a change of Board, which may result in an unintended change or cancellation of seats, the robot GDS will be will re-seat, but closer to the date of departure. In case of intentional change or cancellation of seats, re-automatic assignment will not be made.
