News → Etihad Airways (EY) – Exchange and refund in case of joint and Code-Share flights with Jet Airways (9W)

Dear partners!

In connection with the termination of flights, Jet Airways (9W) - Etihad Airways (EY) proposes to rebook the seats of Etihad Airways (EY) passengers, who were affected by the cancellation of joint flights with 9W.

Etihad Airways offers the following options to passengers with EY tickets, which have flights operated by 9W, purchased at any point of sale of tickets at any time

Rebooking/Reissue

For passengers whose tickets are issued on Etihad Airways (EY), including:

  • EY flights operated by 9W (Code-Share) or  flights 9W (interline) – rebooking/ rerouting allowed. Passengers must be booked on flights operated by EY in the lowest possible booking class (RBD) in the same class of service. For domestic flights to India, rebooking must be on flights Air India (AI).
  • Sectors of domestic flights on AI should be rebooked if possible in the lower classes, if there are no seats - move to high in the same class of flight in the following order “L/ G / W” for economy class, and “J” for business class.
  • Sectors of international flights on AI should be rebooked as far as possible in the lower classes, in the absence of seats - move to high in the same class of flight in the following order “W/V/Q” for economic class and “D” for business class, for example, DAC-AI -CCU -EY-AUH

The difference in the price of the ticket arising from the date change penalty or rebooking to a higher class (RBD) is not required. Charge and surcharges are not charged exclusively in these cases.

Rerouting and endorsements to other airlines other than those listed above are not permitted.

Ticket cancellation/Refund

Refunds will be made free of charge in the case of fully unused and partially used ticket in the presence of it flight segments that fall under this situation.

The refund of the partially used ticket must be calculated based on the distance that the passenger actually flew.

The above policy also applies to group bookings. Guests can contact their travel Agency where the original ticket was issued or the Etihad Airways office for a refund.

Invol change due 9w service termination/changes

For passengers with tickets 9W on flights operated by EY

From now on, EY does not accept passengers with 9W tickets for flights operated by EY. Such passengers should contact their travel Agency or 9W offices.

Exception – passengers already in transit may be accepted on Board an EY flight
