News → Tap Portugal - TP (047). Passenger name correction procedure

Dear colleagues and partners.

We inform you about the update of the passenger name correction procedure in TAP tickets from March 20, 2019.

This procedure is only permitted for bookings made on TAP Air Portugal (TP), Portugal (NI), White Airways (WI) own flights.

The amount of the fee 30 EUR must be specified as a fee DU in the field of airport charges (tax box) mask of the new ticket. Additionally, in the field "endorsements" should make the message "REISSUE DUE CORRECT NAME".

The following fixes are possible:

  •  No more than three letters in the surname;
  •  Incomplete last name (example: Green / JohnMr instead of GreenSmith / JohnMr);
  •  Name and surname are mixed up (example: John / GreenMr instead of Green / JohnMr);
  •  Name change due to marriage or divorce-the passenger must provide a supporting document;
  •  Alias / nickname instead of name (example: Green / KathyMrs instead of Green / KatherineMrs);
  •  Error in status of the passenger (for example: Smith/JohnMrs instead of Smith/JohnMr);
  •  Part of the dual names mixed up (example: GreenSmith/JohnMr is SmithGreen/JohnMr);
  •  Incomplete first name (for example: Santos/Santos is FernandaMrs/MariaFernandaMrs);

In the following cases, there is no service charge:

  •  A typo in the name or names (the letters are reversed, missing letters, extra letters);
  •  Correction of the child's name up to 2 years (INF);

Important information:

  •  it is forbidden to change the names of passengers in bookings/tickets with flights of other carriers under Interline agreements or Codeshare agreements, where the operating carrier is not TAP Air Portugal.
  •  in the case that during the procedure of correcting the name of the passenger have resulted in voluntary changes to the ticket (change of dates, change of itinerary or upgrade to a higher RBD), all penalties for voluntary changes shall be charged in accordance with the rules of the applied tariff. For violation of this rule, the airline will charge the agent - ADM
